Softball Recap: Lithia Springs Comes Up Short

Lithia Springs fell victim to Allatoona and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Buccaneers, falling 11-0. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Lithia Springs now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Allatoona, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lithia Springs will square off against South Cobb at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.25 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Allatoona, they will face off against Cartersville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Buccaneers 2, the Hurricanes 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
