Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Santiago

Centennial hasn't had much luck against Santiago recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Centennial Huskies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Santiago Sharks at 6:30 p.m.

Centennial is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Wednesday, they were much more limited against King on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wolves.

Meanwhile, Santiago had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.6 goals) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 8-1 margin over the Cougars. The Sharks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by three goals or more this season.

Santiago's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three contests. As for Centennial, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-2.
