After receiving more than 6,000 votes,
Daylon Gibbs of
Cuero has earned MaxPreps Texas High School Football Player of the Week.
Gibbs, a senior receiver, reeled in six passes for 281 yards and two
touchdowns while also scoring from 40 yards out on his only carry in a
55-14 win over Giddings.

Stratford: Completed 12 of 16 passes for 168 yards and three touchdowns while tacking on 113 yards and two more scores on the ground in a 38-7 win over Farwell. Defensively, the junior linebacker also recorded 20 tackles, three tackles for loss and two sacks.

Jake Fette,
Del Valle (El Paso): Sophomore signal caller completed 14 of 18 pass attempts for 371 yards and four touchdowns while scoring twice on the ground in a 63-28 win over Parkland.

Keven Hernandez,
Burbank (San Antonio): Junior completed 12 of 17 pass attempts for 382 yards and five touchdowns while carrying nine times for 82 yards and two more scores in a 48-13 win over McCollum.

Kiefer Sibley,
Connally (Waco): The senior running back ran for 286 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries while also catching four passes for 71 yards and a score in a 35-29 win over Gatesville.

Taylor Tatum,
Longview: The Oklahoma commit carried 34 times for 177 yards and a score in a 13-7 win over Forney.
