Recap: North Penn Knights vs. Methacton Warriors
The North Penn Knights had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. Everything went their way against Methacton as North Penn made off with a 56-34 victory. North Penn has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season.
Methacton's loss came despite strong showings from Abby Arnold and Margaret Toaso. Arnold scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Toaso scored four points. Arnold hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
North Penn's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.8 points per game. As for Methacton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Penn will take on Pennridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pennridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 216th, while North Penn is ranked 26th). As for Methacton, they will be playing at home against Perkiomen Valley at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Perkiomen Valley is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
