Softball Recap: Adams City Comes Up Short

The Adams City Eagles came up short against the Wheat Ridge Farmers on Thursday, falling 16-7. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Giannah Chavez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and 13 unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Harmonee Patterson led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Oriah Romero, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Adams City's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Wheat Ridge, they moved to 6-12-1 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Adams City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wheat Ridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-2 victory against Conifer on the 4th.
