Whittier Christian has gone 8-2 against Valley Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Whittier Christian Heralds will host the Valley Christian Defenders at 6:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Whittier Christian's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Valley Christian has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Last Tuesday, Whittier Christian lost to Heritage Christian on the road by a 49-35 margin.

Despite their defeat, Whittier Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Carson Tremper, who posted 11 points and five boards, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Marissa Mendoza, who had nine points.

Meanwhile, Valley Christian suffered their biggest loss since November 18, 2024 on Saturday. They were outmatched by Village Christian and fell 75-30. While losing is never fun, the Defenders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 663rd, while the Crusaders are ranked 177th).

Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Whittier Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.

Whittier Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Valley Christian in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 49-46. Does Whittier Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Valley Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
