Basketball Recap: Atlantic Coast Skates Past Englewood with Ease

After losing to Englewood the last time they met, Atlantic Coast decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Atlantic Coast Stingrays blew past the Englewood Rams 63-30 on Tuesday. The Stingrays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 25 points or more this season.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nathaniel Moore, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. Moore is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Vincent Witherspoon was another key player, going 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points.

Atlantic Coast has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Englewood, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Atlantic Coast will square off against St. Johns Country Day at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Englewood, they will challenge KIPP Bold City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
