Soccer Recap: Willow Glen Comes Up Short

If Willow Glen was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Prospect last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Willow Glen Rams took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westmont Warriors on Tuesday. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Willow Glen's goal came courtesy of Story Mettee, who's now up to 13 this season.

Willow Glen's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 9-6-3. As for Westmont, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-10-1.

Looking ahead, Willow Glen is taking a road trip to square off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westmont, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Prospect at 7:00 p.m.
