Basketball Preview: Forest Hills Rangers vs. Westmont Hilltop Hilltoppers

Forest Hills has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Westmont Hilltop Hilltoppers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

A well-balanced attack led Forest Hills over the Eagles in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Forest Hills blew the Eagles out of the water with a 59-14 final score. Given Forest Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Eagles are ranked 549th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alexis Henderson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points. Another player making a difference was Arissa Britt, who scored six points.

Meanwhile, Westmont Hilltop entered their tilt with the Panthers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Westmont Hilltop put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 64-44 win on Monday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Westmont Hilltop just coasted through the last quarter.

Forest Hills is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. As for Westmont Hilltop, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.

Forest Hills strolled past the Hilltoppers in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 52-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forest Hills since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
