Basketball Recap: San Jacinto Valley Academy Snags Fifth Victory in Last Six Games

San Jacinto Valley Academy won the last time they faced Hamilton, and Kaahliyah Lacy did her part to make sure it happened again. The San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves managed a 45-40 win over the Hamilton Bobcats on Thursday thanks in part to Lacy, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. Her afternoon made it eight games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Reina De La Cruz, who went 6 of 11 en route to 13 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024.

San Jacinto Valley Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Hamilton, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-9.

San Jacinto Valley Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-22 defeat against Temecula Prep on the 31st. As for Hamilton, they will take on Desert Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Desert Christian Academy will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Hamilton surely won't give up without a fight.
