Softball Recap: Papillion-LaVista Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Papillion-LaVista couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Millard North Mustangs by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday. The Monarchs haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Papillion-LaVista's loss dropped their record down to 28-10. As for Millard North, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-4 record this season.

Papillion-LaVista has already played their next matchup, a 15-8 win against Millard West on the 16th. As for Millard North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-6 victory against Elkhorn South on the 16th.
