Softball Recap: Moffat County Has No Trouble Against Middle Park

Moffat County won the last time they faced Middle Park and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 22-9 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won five games by more than 12 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Vanessa Herrara was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in September of 2024. Teryn Carter was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Moffat County and bumps their season record up to 5-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 21.0 runs over those games. As for Middle Park, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-14.

Coming up, Moffat County will host Resurrection Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Middle Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
