Basketball Recap: Dominguez's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dominguez). They blew past University Pathways Medical Magnet, posting a 72-29 win. The Dons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 23 points or more this season.

Dominguez's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but MYA HARRIS led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 18 rebounds. HARRIS is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was KAYLA SCOTT, who went 9 of 13 on her way to 22 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Dominguez was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as University Pathways Medical Magnet only posted seven assists.

Several University Pathways Medical Magnet players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Camila Alcaraz, who posted eight points along with 16 boards and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Benitez, who had 11 points in addition to eight boards and four steals.
