The Fort Collins Lambkins will head out to square off against the Fossil Ridge SaberCats at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Fort Collins is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.3 runs per game this season.

Fort Collins is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Greeley West just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Ava Apodaca made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fossil Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over Poudre on Tuesday. That looming 17-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the SaberCats yet this season.

Fort Collins' defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Fossil Ridge, they moved to 6-12 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Fort Collins took their win against Fossil Ridge in their previous meeting on Saturday by a conclusive 10-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lambkins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
