Volleyball Game Preview: Sunnyslope Vikings vs. Boulder Creek Jaguars

The Sunnyslope Vikings will face off against the Boulder Creek Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Sunnyslope is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Millennium, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Sunnyslope was ranked 17th). The Vikings skirted past the Tigers 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on five straight.

Sunnyslope was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (108-96), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 16-25, 13-25, 27-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Boulder Creek narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Mountain Ridge 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Sunnyslope's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5. As for Boulder Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.
