Liberty piles up the points against Garces Memorial

The Liberty Patriots had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They breezed by Garces Memorial on the road to the tune of 63-13. With that victory, Liberty brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.

Liberty found their leader in underclassman Ellee Statler, who scored 19 points along with five steals. Statler continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Faith Curry, who scored 12 points along with six steals.

Liberty pushed their record up to 9-7 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Garces Memorial, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-14.

Liberty will be playing in front of their home fans against Stockdale at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Stockdale is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Garces Memorial, they will head out on the road to face off against Frontier at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Frontier presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Garces Memorial in California (Frontier is ranked 387th, while Garces Memorial is ranked 1130th).
