Baseball Recap: Portal Comes Up Short

Portal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 10-7 to the Screven County Gamecocks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gamecocks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Tuesday.

Portal's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Screven County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Portal is set to challenge their familiar foe Bryan County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Screven County will square off against rival Metter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
