Centennial has gone 9-1 against Las Cruces recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Hawks will square off against the Bulldawgs at 5:00 p.m. Centennial's last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Centennial is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Organ Mountain, who was ranked 20th at the time (Centennial was ranked 17th). The Hawks had just enough and edged out the Knights 1-0 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for Centennial in their matchups with Organ Mountain: they've now won three in a row.

Centennial's one-goal win came courtesy of Victor Rios, who's now up to 12 this season.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contest, Las Cruces brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They blew past Alamogordo 7-2 on Tuesday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-0.

Centennial's record now sits at 12-5-2. As for Las Cruces, their record is now 5-12-1.

Centennial beat Las Cruces by a goal when the teams last played two weeks ago, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
