Recap: Bedford Bisons vs. Chestnut Ridge Lions
The Bedford Bisons lost against the Chestnut Ridge Lions back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Bedford fell just short of Chestnut Ridge by a score of 32-29.
Several Bisons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shannon Letrent, who scored 14 points. Rebekah Costal was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Chestnut Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashlie Weaver out in front who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Weaver has scored at least 25% of Chestnut Ridge's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Hillegass, who scored 4 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals.
Bedford's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chestnut Ridge, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Bedford will head out on the road to face off against Central Cambria at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Central Cambria and Bedford are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Chestnut Ridge, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Somerset at 7:15 p.m. on December 6th.
