Basketball Recap: Aquinas Monarchs vs. Kearney Catholic Stars
Aquinas has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Kearney Catholic Stars. While the Monarchs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Stars 17-8 in the first quarter.
Despite the loss, Aquinas still got an impressive performance from Faith Samek, who posted 13 points in addition to six boards and five steals. Another player making a difference was Riley Campbell, who earned nine points and five assists.
