Softball Recap: Washington-Wilkes Comes Up Short

Washington-Wilkes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 6-3 to the Oglethorpe County Patriots. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 12-10 to the Patriots when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kaidyn Porter was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Washington-Wilkes' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Oglethorpe County, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington-Wilkes will face off against Hart County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oglethorpe County, they will challenge Clarke Central at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
