Pickens had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Greater Atlanta Christian Spartans with a sharp 15-7 win. That's two games straight that the Dragons have won by exactly eight runs.

Pickens' victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-19.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pickens will square off against Dawson County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Greater Atlanta Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Providence Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on October 7.
