Carson is 8-0-2 against Rancho Dominguez since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Carson Colts are taking a road trip to challenge the Rancho Dominguez Lobos at 2:30 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Friday just wasn't the day for Carson's offense. They fell just short of Banning by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 675th, while the Pilots are ranked 295th).

Meanwhile, Rancho Dominguez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Banning, falling 10-0.

Carson's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7-1. As for Rancho Dominguez, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Everything went Carson's way against Rancho Dominguez in their previous meeting back in January, as Carson made off with a 6-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carson since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
