Softball Recap: Darlington Takes a Loss

Darlington extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-6. They lost 16-4 to the Walker Wolverines. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolverines this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-10 last Wednesday.

As for Walker, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. Considering they have won five contests by more than 11 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Walker's part, Reese Dege was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. That's the most hits Dege has posted since back in August. Kaila Figueiredo was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Darlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walker, they will square off against Rome at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
