Baseball Recap: West Forsyth Comes Up Short

West Forsyth lost against South Forsyth last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The West Forsyth Wolverines fell 8-4 to the South Forsyth War Eagles. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gunnar Ponche was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Sanders Dyer, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases.

West Forsyth's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for South Forsyth, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Forsyth will face off against North Forsyth at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for South Forsyth, they will challenge Lambert at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
