Beatrice came tearing into Saturday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Pius X Thunderbolts an 8-0 shutout. Considering the Orangemen have won 13 contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Sadie Hereth was incredible, firing off two home runs while going 3-for-3. What's more, she posted two runs, the most she's had since back in August. Callie Schwisow was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Beatrice was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pius X only posted a batting average of .182.

Beatrice's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Pius X, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-11.

Beatrice didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-7 victory against Skutt Catholic on the 20th. As for Pius X, they have also already played their next match, a 6-3 defeat against Hastings on the 20th.
