Baseball Recap: Evanston Takes a Loss

Evanston couldn't beat Glenbrook South on Thursday even though they stacked eight runs on them in the fourth inning. The Wildkits came up short against the Titans, falling 24-12. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Titans this season, with their most recent defeat being a 7-2 loss on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Evanston and nudges their season record down to 10-19. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Glenbrook South, their record now sits at 16-13.

Coming up, Evanston will head out on the road to challenge Loyola Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Ramblers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.76 runs per game on average), something the Wildkits will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Glenbrook South, they will face off against Buffalo Grove at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
