Volleyball Game Preview: Genoa Area Comets vs. St. Joseph Central Catholic Crimson Streaks

Genoa Area is 0-6 against St. Joseph Central Catholic since October of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Comets will venture away from home to face off against the Crimson Streaks at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Genoa Area turned things around against Northwood on Saturday. They came out on top against the Rangers by a score of 3-1.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph Central Catholic made easy work of Woodmore on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win. The Crimson Streaks haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

St. Joseph Central Catholic not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Woodmore between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-16.

St. Joseph Central Catholic's win came from a few key players Genoa Area will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bella Stout, who had nine digs and two assists.

Genoa Area's record now sits at 6-10. As for St. Joseph Central Catholic, their record is now 14-3.
