Soccer Recap: Grants Comes Up Short

Grants lost against Kirtland Central back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Broncos. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Grants couldn't quite close it out.

Grants has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Kirtland Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6-1.

Grants wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, an 11-0 defeat against St. Pius X on the 14th. As for Kirtland Central, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 loss against Miyamura on the 16th.
