Softball Recap: Penney Takes a Loss

Penney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 20-3 to the South Harrison Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by exactly 17 runs.

Penney suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-4. As for South Harrison, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Penney will welcome Lathrop at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Harrison, they will host Chillicothe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
