Valley Center found a leader in Connor Thatcher as the team took down Maize South on Friday. Thatcher threw for 291 yards and four TDs while completing 94.4% of his passes, which was good enough to set a new career-high in passing touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Thatcher and Valley Center will square off against Andover Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hornets have some work to do to even out the 1-7 series between these two since September of 2015, but a win here would be a good start.
