Basketball Recap: Summit Shasta Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jordin Lee and Daina Randall

After flying high against The Kehillah School on Monday, Summit Shasta came back down to earth. The Black Bears received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 64-46 to the South San Francisco Warriors. The Black Bears' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Summit Shasta's loss came despite strong showings from Daina Randall and Jordin Lee. Randall shot 64% from the field to rack up 17 points in addition to seven boards and four steals, while Lee went 6-for-13 en route to 13 points and four steals. Randall's big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

Summit Shasta's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for South San Francisco, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Summit Shasta will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Half Moon Bay at 2:30 p.m. on the 20th. As for South San Francisco, they will be playing at home against Design Tech at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
