Marshall is a perfect 4-0 against North Central since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lions will look to defend their home field against the Thunderbirds at 5:30 p.m. Marshall has given up an average of 8.4 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Marshall lost 11-3 to Northview on Wednesday.

Marshall saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Pugh, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Rocco Giannavola also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, North Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against North Daviess on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The Thunderbirds just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Marshall, their loss dropped their record down to 8-19.

Everything went Marshall's way against North Central in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Marshall made off with a 9-2 win. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunderbirds turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
