Football Recap: Jah'rin Louis Key Part of Team Effort in Hurricanes Win + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Klein, Klein Cain was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 23-17 win over the Klein Oak Panthers. This was payback for the Hurricanes, who suffered a 33-32 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Klein Cain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jah'Rin Louis, who rushed for 142 yards on only 12 carries. Louis' longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Zach Johnson was another key signal caller, throwing for 312 yards and one TD.

Klein Cain's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Ethan Reed with two sacks. Reed is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least nine every time he's taken the field this season. Another thorn in Klein Oak's side was AJ Craft, who made 14 total tackles and defended two passes.

Klein Cain's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Klein Oak, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Klein Cain will venture away from home to square off against Tomball Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Klein Oak, they will welcome Klein Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
