McClatchy is a perfect 4-0 against St. Francis since December of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lions will venture away from home to square off against the Troubadours at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, McClatchy got the win against Pleasant Grove by a conclusive 71-45. With the Lions ahead 40-19 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

McClatchy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was London Lee out in front who posted 20 points and three steals. Daisy Throckmorton was another key player, putting up 17 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led St. Francis over Vista del Lago in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. The Troubadours strolled past the Eagles with points to spare, taking the game 43-29. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Troubadours.

St. Francis' win came from a few key players McClatchy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lexi London, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Natalia Zitelli, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 11 points and five steals.

St. Francis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in ten consecutive contests dating back to last season.

The win got St. Francis back to even at 2-2. As for McClatchy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything came up roses for McClatchy against St. Francis in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 68-38 victory. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Troubadours have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
