Football Recap: Cibola Falls to Albuquerque in First Game of Season

Cibola unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Albuquerque Bulldogs by a score of 24-21 on Friday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Although Cibola took the loss, they still got scores from Hayes Baum, Danny Triplett, and Emmanuel Apodaca.

Cibola didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ryan Gunn and Baum.

Cibola has already played their next contest, a 46-24 victory against Sandia on the 28th. As for Albuquerque, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 34-7 win against Valley on the 30th.
