Softball Recap: Blue River Takes a Loss

Blue River was the 3-2 winner over Lakeview when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Blue River fell just short of Lakeview by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. Blue River has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blue River saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danica Watts, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Blue River's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Lakeview, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Blue River will take on Highway 91 at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Blue River's pitchers better be ready for this one: Highway 91 has averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Lakeview, they will challenge Wayne at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
