Soccer Recap: Ridgeland Comes Up Short

Ridgeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 4-1 to the North Murray Mountaineers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 4-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Eli Free, which was the first he's scored this season.

Ridgeland's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for North Murray, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Coming up, Ridgeland will host Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Murray, they will head out to square off against Ringgold at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
