Jackson County extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Daylan Maxwell. The Panthers blew past the Alcovy Tigers, posting a 59-6 win with plenty of help from Maxwell, who rushed for 117 yards and three TDs on only ten carries. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 79-yard run.

Jackson County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Mason Allen, Noah Norwood, and Tyler Mobbs picked up one apiece.

Jackson County's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Alcovy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Jackson County will welcome Apalachee at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. The Panthers will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Alcovy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Habersham Central at 7:30 p.m. on October 10.
