Volleyball Recap: Hortonville Comes Up Short

Hortonville lost against Marshfield back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Polar Bears took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Hortonville's offense was headlined by Rayna Nelson and Becca Krause, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Ashlie Sippola and her eight assists.

Marshfield's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Calyn Ziembo, who had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces Ziembo has posted since back in August.

Hortonville's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Marshfield, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.

Hortonville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Milton on the 27th. As for Marshfield, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Chilton on the 27th.
