Volleyball Recap: Kokomo Takes a Loss

Kokomo managed to slip by Eastern the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Wildkats came up short against the Comets on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Wildkats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Kokomo was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-14, 25-20.

Myla Lacy paced Kokomo's offense, picking up seven kills. Lacy got some help from Torre Willis and her ten assists. Willis was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Kokomo now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Eastern, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Kokomo will face off against Elwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern has already played their next game (against Western), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
