Softball Recap: Village Christian Academy Knights vs. Freedom Christian Academy Patriots
Village Christian Academy had lost nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 1-10 to make it ten. They lost 15-0 to the Freedom Christian Academy Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent loss being a 20-0 defeat two weeks ago.
As for Freedom Christian Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-2. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 19 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
For Freedom Christian Academy's part, Victoria Bryant was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bryant has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Freedom Christian Academy got a big performance out of Rylan Miller, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases Miller has posted since back in April of 2024. Aubrey Multerer was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
