Baseball Recap: Millburn Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rutherford on Friday, Millburn came back down to earth. The Millers came up short against the Metuchen Bulldogs on Saturday, falling 10-0.

Jack Gukassey got Millburn off to a strong start despite the final result, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest earned runs Gukassey has allowed since back in April of 2025.

Millburn's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Metuchen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6-1 record this season.

Millburn didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-5 victory against West Orange on the 19th. Metuchen has also already played their next matchup (against Piscataway Vo-Tech), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
