Football Game Preview: Cromwell Cardinals vs. Bertha-Hewitt Bears

The Cromwell Cardinals will square off against the Bertha-Hewitt Bears on Friday. Cromwell is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Cromwell is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They took down Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] 23-6.

Brenden Gronner produced another solid performance rushing for 41 yards and a pair of scores, while also throwing for 139 yards and one TD. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August.

Cromwell didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Drew Nyberg and Lane Gervais.

Meanwhile, Bertha-Hewitt faced Ogilvie in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bears snuck past the Lions with a 26-22 victory.

Cromwell's record is now 8-1. As for Bertha-Hewitt, their record now sits at 9-1.

Cromwell strolled past Bertha-Hewitt in their previous matchup on October 3rd by a score of 36-20. Do the Cardinals have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
