Volleyball Recap: Kokomo Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Kokomo had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Western Panthers on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Wildkats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kokomo had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 27-25, 25-16, 25-18.

Kokomo had a senior duo take command as Tia Williams had 20 digs and Torre Willis had 24 assists and three aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Western fell to 2-1.

Coming up, Kokomo will be playing in front of their home fans against North Miami at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Western, they will head out on the road to challenge Mississinewa at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight.
