Football Recap: Archbishop Carroll Skates Past Riverdale Baptist with Ease + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Archbishop Carroll). They claimed a resounding 57-18 victory over the Riverdale Baptist Crusaders. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Lions with their most commanding win of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Archbishop Carroll to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tk Davis, who rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.2 yards per carry. Davis was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 67 yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Avery Glass, who threw for 216 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 18 points in total. All came from Victor Adeyemi: he went 6-for-6 kicking field goals for 18 points.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Archbishop Carroll's defense and their six sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as six different players picked up one apiece. They received some extra help from Darnell Williams, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

The win got Archbishop Carroll back to even at 3-3. As for Riverdale Baptist, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Archbishop Carroll and Riverdale Baptist should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. The Lions (ranked fourth) will meet Bishop Ireton (ranked 212th) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Riverdale Baptist will challenge Annapolis Area Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (43 vs. 182).
