Softball Recap: Alva Takes a Loss

Alva was the 7-4 winner over Tonkawa when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Goldbugs fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 2-1 on Thursday.

Alva saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Myka Louthan, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Alva's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Tonkawa, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Alva will take on Medford at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tonkawa, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Frontier at 5:00 p.m.
