Westminster Christian Academy is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will host the Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
It was a proper cat-fight when Westminster Christian Academy duked it out with Peachtree Academy on Monday. Westminster Christian Academy walked away with an 11-7 victory over Peachtree Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

William Greene was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Westminster Christian Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-3 otherwise. Greene was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Rhyan Ford and David Tingle did most of the damage at the plate: Ford scored two runs while going 1-for-2, while Tingle scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Aubrey Chasteen also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, everything went Augusta Prep Day's way against Greene County on Friday as Augusta Prep Day made off with a 16-1 win. Considering the Cavaliers have won five contests by more than 12 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Westminster Christian Academy, Augusta Prep Day also got a great game from a two-way player: Viraj Bulla. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Bulla was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
In other batting news, Tanner Gay was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Ayden Payne, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Augusta Prep Day always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .724. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Augusta Prep Day now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Westminster Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
