Castro Valley has gone 8-0-2 against Alameda recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Castro Valley Trojans will head out to square off against the Alameda Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Castro Valley will be strutting in after a victory while Alameda will be coming in after a loss.

Castro Valley's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Encinal 4-0. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Alameda came up short against Acalanes on Monday, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 415th, while the Dons are ranked 119th).

This is the second loss in a row for Alameda and nudges their season record down to 5-7-1. As for Castro Valley, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 3-5-1.

Castro Valley beat Alameda 2-0 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Castro Valley repeat their success, or does Alameda have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
