The Johnson Ferry Christian Academy Saints are taking a road trip to challenge the Cornerstone Prep Academy Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cornerstone Prep Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, who comes in off a win.

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 9-5 win over Lanier Christian Academy on Thursday.

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy let Will Miller and Dylan Harris run wild. Miller went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Harris scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most hits Miller has posted since back in March of 2024. Connor Cardinal also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Cornerstone Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 11-5 to Harvester Christian Academy.

Cornerstone Prep Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaiah Stahl, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Even though they lost, Cornerstone Prep Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Cornerstone Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy, their victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Johnson Ferry Christian Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cornerstone Prep Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Johnson Ferry Christian Academy skirted past Cornerstone Prep Academy 7-6 when the teams last played last Thursday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Johnson Ferry Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
